HD 3870 & Atomic HD 3870 Benchmark results in Standard & CrossFire modes
Using 3DMark 06 from FutureMark for benchmarking has always been the choice among review sites, gamers and companies within the industry. It has long set a standard for benchmarking tools in the video card market. 3DMark 06 gives us a breakdown to show us how our cards are performing on the Fill Rate, and Vertex Shaders for example.
Our system is using Window XP because it is the dominant OS choice for gaming. All game settings in Crysis are set to High. We will revisit the benchmark numbers with the latest Crysis patch that uses the MultiGPU support and run under DX10 in Windows Vista.

Conclusion:
Since this product is produced by Sapphire there would be little point in elaborating further on the ATOMIC editor’s opinion of the product. Instead of offering our thoughts we are more interested in hearing back from those enthusiasts lucky enough to have grabbed one of these cards. As you can see from our in-house benchmarks, the ATOMIC has a palpable advantage over the standard HD 3870. When you factor in a single-slot cooler, overclocked default speeds, a three foot HDMI cable and a $30 game gift certificate, Sapphire feels confident that this product has the merit to measure up.
